Chapter 204
A scorpion and a frog met on the bank of a stream and the scorpion asked the frog to carry him across on its back. The frog doubted him but asked, “How do I know you won’t sting me?”
The scorpion said, “Because if I do, I will die too.”
The foolish frog was satisfied, and they set out, but in midstream, the scorpion stung the frog. The frog felt the onset of paralysis and started to sink. Knowing he would soon drown, but still bewildered, he made effort to gasp “Why?”
Promptly replied the scorpion: “You should have known that its my nature…”
Die-hard habits are hardly worth dying for.
