DAV Public School, Sahibabad, celebrated its cultural fiesta. The programme commenced with a musical medley by the school orchestra Maurvia’s followed by the lamp lighting ceremony. The chief guest on the occasion was Punam Suri, President, DAVCMC. School principal Dr. V Singh presented the annual report highlighting the progress made by the students during the last academic year. The programme rose to a crescendo with the annual felicitation ceremony in which 163 winners were felicitated for their exemplary contribution in categories like academics , sports and co-scholastics arena. Fifty-four meritorious students were conferred with a cheque of `11,000 each for getting 10 CGPA in class-X CBSE held in 2013. About 25 ex-students were also honoured with mementoes for their selection in renowned colleges or success in the professional front on this occasion. Around 750 talented students participated in the ballet ‘Innovatia’ reflecting the essence of Indianness as a melting pot of various cultures.
