Science claims to have conquered nature but there are many natural calamities which Science has not been able to conquer.
According to geography, earth was mass of a burning ball which collided and vast oceans came into existence. Wherever it erupted, mountains and hills were made. Sometimes portion of earth’s inner crust gets imbalanced due to which an earthquake occurs.
I witnessed one of the earthquakes in our town. All of a sudden, a loud noise arose and everything began to shiver. Old and weak buildings were destroyed. Some people got stuck in the building and died.
The earthquake lasted for about 2 minutes causing destruction. As the earthquake subsided, immediately rescue work started. Wounded people were taken to hospitals.
