Last week the film ‘lootera’ was shown at the local theatre. I had heard much about this film. I, therefore, decided to see it.
I reached the cinema hall at about 6 in the evening. I had got my seat reserved in advance. There was large crowd of film fans outside the hall. All the tickets for the show had been sold out. A plate outside the booking office the ‘Housefull’. Some people who could not get the tickets were trying their luck in the black market.
A large number of hawkers stood outside the cinema premises. They sold a variety of eatables. They did good business during the interval and before the start of show. There were several hoardings displaying large sized colored pictures of film stars. Every inch of space was occupied by men, women and children who have come to see the film. On one side there was a large counter where one could have cold water. Several glass showcases were fixed on the wall. Scenes from the current film as well as others film were displayed.
In the meantime the matinee show ended. After a few minutes the spectators for the evening show were allowed inside the hall. I entered the hall and occupied my seat. Soon after the lights were switched off.
First, the news reel was shown and then the film started. The film was completely entertaining. I enjoyed it. The show ended at night. I returned home satisfied that my evening went was joyful.
