After the death of Isaac Newton his unpublished works were brought out by the government as he had now become a national icon who had set England on the top of the world of science. In the process some interesting facts about Newton’s nature of research came out.

- In the scientific innings his biggest interest was in chemistry. His unpublished work largely consisted of research in Alchemy.
- His considerable work was on spiritualism and religion. He tried to determine the chronology of events mentioned in the Bible.

- Dr. Haily and Newton often used to engage in discussions over spiritualism and philosophy. It often led to heated arguments. But it never cast a shadow on their friendship. They continued to respect each other and maintained relationship.
