Creation of first modern mechanical clock is also attributed to a German, Peter Henlein. Swiss wrist watches are amongst the leading watches in the world. Special watches with exclusive features like automatics, alarms, calendars are made mostly in Switzerland. Electric clocks, automobile clocks, etc., are made in America.
