The common reed frog comes in many colours and has about 50 sub-species. Males attract females with inflatable sacs under the throats called gular flap. Their snouts are short and the feet are webbed. They love moist surroundings and can be found in forests, grasslands, marshes and rivers. They are very short-lived lasting only a year.
