There are small creatures living in our mouths that are known as bacteria. Without proper brushing, food stays in between the teeth. The bacteria then start to feed on this food-sugar. As they do so, they release strong acids in the mouth that are strong enough to melt the hard shell of the tooth and make holes in teeth! The best way to keep our teeth clean is by brushing them twice a day and flossing at least once a day. Brushing also stimulates gums, which helps to keep them healthy and prevent gum disease.
Why do we need to brush our teeth?
