This chameleon of the sea, that can camouflage, lives in sand debris of the ocean floor at a depth of 10-50 metres. It has a wide head with a large mouth and pectoral fins. It waits for the prey and inhales it by surprise. These fish raise their poisonous spikes on their backs, heads and around the eyes when threatened and can cause death.
