This is one of the most beautiful groups of reeffish in the ocean found in a rainbow of colours. They move in groups of thousands called a ‘shoal’ which every deep-sea photographer has probably captured. As many as 200 species are known. They feed on zooplankton, crustacean larvae, fish eggs and small organisms that float in the water.
