The humpback whale is a species of baleen whale that feeds on small fish and krill with its bristle-like teeth. It grows up to 16 metres long and weighs up to 36,000 kg. The body is stocky with a hump and a fluked tail. They migrate to tropical waters to breed and give birth in winters. Their lifespan is 45-100 years.
