The red sea urchin is a spine-covered creature with aspherical body enclosed in a hard shell. Found living inrocky shores, they crawl slowly on the sea floor with their spines

and the tube feet scattered amidst them. With its mouth located on its underside surrounded by five teeth, it feeds on seaweeds, kelp and algae. Its lifespan is 30 years.
