Masters of camouflage, sea goblins are venomous fish with spines on their backs. Found buried in sandy areas or on coral outcrops, they wait for their prey and catch it by surprise. They are nocturnal, feeding on fish and invertebrates. They move by crawling very slowly along the seabed, using the four lower rays of their pectoral fins as legs.
