The Mino Dumontii (scientific name) or yellow-faced myna is typically found in moist tropical rainforest areas, specifically New Guinea and the surrounding islands. With a height of 9.0-10.1 inches, the yellow-faced myna is one of the largest in the starling species. Its plumage is dark black or brown with a metallic shine all over its body. However, it has bright yellow patches surrounding its eyes. The bill, legs and feet are also yellow. These birds are omnivores which eat everything from fruits and insects to lizards, frogs and nestling birds. A clutch of 1-2 eggs is laid in nests which are 10-30 metres from the ground. The incubation period for these birds is not known. Its IUCN listing is the LEAST CONCERN.
