Due to habitat loss, very few members of this species remain. The current number of sangihe shrike-thrush, which exists in the world, is less than 100 adults. As a result, their breeding pattern, clutch-size and incubation period are not known. Its IUCN listing is CRITICALLY ENDANGERED.
