Interesting fact : Due to the 2 white horn/spine-like protrusions on the female spider, this orb-weaving spider has been popularly named ‘two-horned spider’.
While the males are small (3 mm in length), the females are larger (8 mm in length) and have horns. There is vast sexual dimorphism in this species. Their habitat is comprised of gardens and shrubs. During the day, they can be found on the underside of the leaves of the citrus plants. Harmless to humans, this spider preys on insects and moths that are larger than its own body size.
