Once, there lived two pets in a house–a cat named Bibi and a parrot named Paco. They were best friends too. One evening, Bibi and Paco were alone in the kitchen. A bowl of dough was left near the fire by the cook. Both were very hungry. When Paco saw the bowl of dough, he could not resist his hunger and went towards the bowl. Suddenly, a frantic Bibi rushed upstairs and started making strange noises. She began to pull the cook’s apron as if she wanted her to come with her. The cook rushed downstairs to see the poor Paco stuck in the dough, shrieking and crying for help. The cook then carefully lifted Paco out of the dough and wiped him clean. She also gave Bibi a bowl full of milk in appreciation of the friendly act. Paco too showed his gratitude by rubbing his nose with Bibi’s. Indeed, Bibi was a true friend!
