All of them are striped, including facial stripes. The chipmunks usually live in burrows with concealed entrances and hibernate in winter. Their living area is very clean, and the animals do not litter it with refuse. They forage and stockpile nuts like acorns, seeds-for winter. They are omnivores, and also feed on birds’ eggs, worms, and small frogs.
