Possums have thick, bushy tails, pointed snouts and long, fox-like tapering ears. There are two general colour forms, grey and black. Possums can adapt easily and can live anywhere that has shelter and a varied food supply. They are efficient gliders on eucalyptus trees. Baby possums are sheltered in a pouch on the mother’s stomach.
