Snow leopards have long, thick, smoky grey to yellowish tan fur with whitish underparts. They have dark grey to black open rosettes on their bodies, with small spots of the same colour on their heads and larger spots on their legs and tails. They are hunted for their fur, bones and teeth, used in traditional Chinese medicine.
