While weddings are beautiful in Morocco, the excitement and festive atmosphere is created with the pre-wedding customs.
Do you know: Traditionally, it used to be the groom’s family that chose the bride for him.
The first pre-wedding custom involves sending gifts such as jewellery, clothes and perfumes to the bride. The second custom, the furnishing party, is where the bride’s future home is decorated with household objects. And the third custom is a milk bath taken by the bride before her wedding. Henna tattoos are applied and the bride is dressed in a white kaftan, loads of jewellery and kohl-lined eyes.
