Counting Virtues is a funerary custom in Lithuania.

It is customary in Lithuania for a female member to count the virtues of the person who has recently passed away. If the deceased had no family left, then another person was asked to do this. By counting his virtues, the mourners expressed their love and gratitude towards the dead for all the good he did when alive.
