Crop Circles

A Crop Circle is a pattern created by flattening a crop. Crop Circles appear weekly somewhere around the world. The strange patterns appear mysteriously overnight in a field, provoking delight and intrigue for locals and the news media. The circles are mostly found in the United Kingdom, but have now spread around the world. But how they appear is still an unsolved mystery. Until the 1970s, simple circles began appearing in the English countryside. The number and complexity of the circles increased dramatically, reaching a peak in the 1980s and 1990s when elaborate circles illustrating complex mathematical equations such as fractals were produced.
