“I cannot believe in what you say!” announced Florrie, the large sheep, “I know little Georgie! He’s the best little sheepdog I have ever seen!” The other sheep looked very sad and hung their heads. “It’s true, you know,” said Bobby, the small lamb. Florrie was shocked. “You prove it!” she told Bobby. Georgie was the young sheepdog on the farm, and everyone’s favourite. But Dave, the old sheepdog, was feeling very neglected, because none played with him. He had a ball that he loved and it went missing. Bobby had seen it inside Georgie’s kennel. Just then, Dave came along and looked at all the sheep. “What’s the matter?” he asked. “Has Georgie stolen your ball?” asked Florrie. “Er…..it actually rolled into his kennel last evening,” said Dave. Florrie looked triumphantly at the sheep. “I understand; Georgie is not a thief!” And Dave made friends with little Georgie after that.
