Nonny was curious about everything. She was Mrs Faber’s cat. How long was the wool in her ball? What was kept in the larder? What was being made for dinner? Where was Mrs Faber going? She wanted to know everything! One day, Mrs Faber went to her brother’s farm and took Nonny along. Farmer Jefferson’s farm was large and full of all kinds of creatures. There was so much that Nonny wanted to investigate. Unfortunately, Nonny was so busy in the larder that she got locked in! She mewed and scratched the door, but no one heard her. She decided to have a feast and ate whatever she could find. By morning Nonny was feeling so sick that the vet was called in and he gave her a bitter mixture to drink! Nonny was so miserable and the mixture was awful.
