Zoe’s father was a fisherman and sometimes, Zoe would accompany his father on his fishing jaunts. Everyone in Zoe’s village talked of the Eyeprickt Monster, who roamed the seas. However, Zoe’s father did not believe them. One day, Zoe and his father were out fishing, when the sea rumbled menacingly. The waves lashed angrily and the wind howled. Zoe’s father spotted a small island and veered towards it. On the beach, Zoe and his father rested on a huge black rock. Soon, they felt slight tremors. Zoe realised the rock he was sitting on was shaking. Suddenly, a dozen tentacles grabbed Zoe by the hair. Two bulbous eyes bore into him and a big fat mouth opened wide. Zoe squeezed his eye shut. Suddenly, he fell. His father had poked the monster in the eye with a stick. Then, they leapt into their boat and fled. Now, they knew the Eyeprickt Monster did exist!
