Trudy was playing in the garden, when he found an abandoned teddy bear. It was so soft and beautiful that soon it became Trudy’s best friend. Trudy called it Blummy. One day, Trudy returned from school to find his room neat and tidy. A little note on his table asked, “Do you like it?” Trudy was puzzled. Another day, Trudy found freshly baked chocolate chip cookies and a note that said, “Enjoy.” His mother denied making any! Soon, Trudy became busy with studies and stopped playing with Blummy. One day, Trudy’s mother was cooking when she heard Trudy’s sharp cry. She ran up to find Blummy squeezing Trudy’s throat. Blummy was angry with Trudy for ignoring him. She pulled him with all her might, but he would not let go. She ran to the kitchen and got the butcher’s knife. Trudy’s mother chopped off Blummy’s hands and threw the teddy into the burning fire in the fireplace.
