Katy was babysitting for a family. After she had tucked in the children, she went down to watch television in a large hall. Just then, she observed a scarecrow reclining against an open window in the corner. She was uneasy as she saw an evil smirk on its face. Katy quickly covered the scarecrow with a white sheet. A little later, the father called, “Is everything fine? We will be back in an hour.” “Yes,” said Katy, “Except, that I covered the scarecrow in your living room with a sheet. It was a bit scary. Hope you won’t mind.” “What? There’s no scarecrow in the living room,” said the father. Puzzled, Katy looked at the window. There was no scarecrow; only a crumpled white sheet lay there! The window was wide open, so she quickly shut it and latched it. The parents returned soon and checked the grounds but found no one.
