Fyodor Konyukhov (Fedor Filippovich Konyukhov) was born on 12th December 1951 in the village of Chkalovo, Ukraine, and he still lives today. A Russian survivalist, sailor and balloon pilot, Fyodor is the only person to have reached the extreme points on the planets, the North Pole (thrice), the South Pole, Pole of inaccessibility in the Arctic Ocean and twice on top of Mount Everest. He completed a solo circumnavigation of Antarctica in a sailboat, the first person to do so. He has set world records in rowing such as rowing across the Atlantic Ocean in 46 days and going a distance of 110 miles in 24 hours.

Do you know: Fyodor has been the second person to circumnavigate the world in a hot-air helium balloon on 23rd July 2016.
