Elijah soon preached the people not to worship any idol, as that was against the rules framed by God. As Elijah was becoming old, he soon realized that there had to be another prophet who would convey God’s message to the people. Soon, Elijah and Elisha too soon walked around the fields of Gilgal, where Elijah asked him to wait as God wanted him to go to Bethel. It was the beautiful place where the Jacob had dreamt of angels coming down from Heaven. He then asked Elisha to wait behind as God wanted him to go to Jericho. Elisha was fine as long as he could be around his master. They both then walked to River Jordon as God wanted them to do so. It was the place where the Israelites had entered into the Promised Land as God had wanted them to do so.
