When Jeremiah was young, God asked him to become a prophet and convey his messages to the people. Though he knew that he was too young for this job yet, he couldn’t refuse God. He then preached the people about God, but no one heard him and considered him to be a traitor. He said that all people suffering from misery would find shelter in the temple of God, but no one was willing to hear him at all. Instead, they wanted him to be killed and dead. Josiah was the only one who heard him with passion, as he believed in God. One day, Jeremiah was very upset and asked God as to why He had been given this task when no one would hear him at all. This was the time when the King of Babylon defeated the Assyrians, and as Jeremiah had said they were defeated.
