Bertie was an infant when he was carried off into the forest! No one knew where he had vanished. He had been taken by a wolf and as a result, he grew up with the wolf cubs. Years later, a king came hunting in the forest and found this strange wolf-boy there. The king took the boy with him to his kingdom. The wolf-boy was very unhappy but slowly, he began to understand the language and the loving kindness of the king and the queen, who had no children. With the passage of time, he grew up into a handsome young man who was not only brave but also was trained in the art of war. He spoke five languages; moreover, he could understand the language of even animals and birds! The king announced that he was the prince and would rule after him! People came to love the brave and kind Prince Bertram (real name Bertie).
