“Has anyone seen Prince Hubert?” asked the queen. “He’s writing a poem in the rose garden, madam!” announced the attendant. When visitors arrived, the king asked for the prince. “He’s writing a poem in the study, sir,” said his minister. The prince spent all his time writing poetry! One day his royal aunt, Lady Harriet, came on a visit. As usual, the prince was writing poetry. “Come here, Hubert!” said Lady Harriet, “Let me hear all the poetry you’ve written!” Prince Hubert read out some of his work. After a while, his aunt said, “Rubbish! Do you call this poetry? Come with me! I will teach you how to write it!” Prince Hubert was so terrified that he immediately began to do everything the king wished him to do! Now, he wrote poetry only when he had some free time! Lady Harriet cured him of his laziness and excuses!
