Charlie found the sword inside the cave. When he brought it out and got it cleaned, he was astonished. It had a golden hilt embedded with rubies and emeralds! Charlie was delighted. He decided not to sell it, for it seemed so special. He took his horse and set off to seek adventure. Passing through a forest one day, he saw smoke coming out of a hut and stopped. He peeped in and saw that an old woman was boiling something in a large cauldron. A beautiful maid was locked in a cage, crying. Charlie realised the old woman was a wicked witch! He knocked at the door and as soon as the old woman opened the door, he killed her! He set the maid free. “Thank you so much!” she wept, “You will be rewarded by my father, the king!” Charlie took Princess Daisy back home. The king was so happy that he got them married!
