Sheikh Chilli’s mother was invited to a wedding. While leaving, she asked Sheikh to cut grass for her friend, for which he was to be paid. But as usual, Sheikh was busy dreaming about the sweets his mother would bring from the wedding. So, his mother told him that in order to get the sweets, Sheikh would have to work. Sheikh hurried towards the forest and worked hard. Finally, he tied the bundle of cut grass and handed it to the lady, getting money for his work. Then he realised that he had forgotten the sickle in the forest. He went back to get it. As soon as his hand touched the blade of the sickle, he let out a loud scream. The sickle was burning hot! Lallan, his neighbour, saw Sheikh screaming, and asked, “What happened?” “My sickle has fever,” replied Sheikh. Lallan knew that the sickle was hot due to the sun. He immediately tied the sickle with rope and lowered it into the well. The water cooled it. Silly Sheikh thought that this was a great way to cure fever and thanked Lallan.
