While Sheikh Chilli visited Delhi, he went to see the famous Qutub Minar. Many people were gazing admiringly at the tall tower. The guide told them that Qutub-ud-din Aibak had built this wonderful structure. It was built so that it might be announced to the whole of Delhi, from the top of the tower, that it was time for prayer. The people were wondering how it was possible to build such a stupendous tower without cranes and machines. One person said, “They must have made it flat on the ground and then made it stand afterwards.” Another said, “It must have been made by giants.” Sheikh said he knew how it was built. A deep well must have been dug and later turned upside down. Listening to this strange logic of Sheikh, everyone started laughing.
