Once, there was a beautiful corn field. It was so lovely that a lark decided to make her nest there. A few months later, she laid eggs. Soon after, small babies hatched out of the eggs. Time passed by. One day, the farmer of the field said, “I will call my neighbours to reap this field.” The baby larks heard this. They flew to their mother and told her everything. “Nothing will happen dears,” she reassured them. Some days later, the farmer came again and said, “I will call my relatives to reap this field.” The baby larks again informed their mother. She again told them not to worry. But the farmer came there again with his son and said, “I will reap this field tomorrow.” Hearing this, the mother lark said, “Now it is the time to go. When a man says he will do the work himself, he will certainly do it!”
Moral: Don’t fear empty threats.
