Once, a man was going to the market. He had laden his donkey with two sacks of wheat. On the way, he rested. But when he woke up, he found his donkey missing. He saw a boy and asked, “Have you seen my donkey?” The boy asked, “Is the donkey lame and is he carrying a load of wheat?” The man happily replied, “Yes! Where is it?” The boy answered “I haven’t seen it.” This made the man very angry. He took the boy to the village chief. The chief asked the boy, “How could you describe the donkey without seeing it?” The boy took them back to the track and said, “I saw the tracks of a donkey. The right and left tracks were different. It meant that the donkey was limping. Some wheat seeds were scattered on the ground, so he must have been carrying wheat.” The judge appreciated the boy’s cleverness and told the man to forgive him.
Moral: We should not be quick to judge people.
