Hatim came across a river where he took out his magical staff and instantly it turned into a boat! In the middle of the river, Hatim felt something grabbing him! It took him into the depths of the river. When it stopped, Hatim opened his eyes and saw a sea dragon. It said to him, “I have brought you here to drive the crab out of my house.” “Why don’t you do it yourself?” No sooner had Hatim asked that question than he heard a loud cry that frightened him. He saw a monstrous crab coming towards him. Hatim took out his staff and when the crab grasped it, it became docile. Hatim asked it to leave the sea dragon’s home for good. He also told the sea dragon not to attack the crab, who had become docile now. After resolving the differences between the two inhabitants of the deep river, Hatim continued his journey.
