Once upon a time, an eagle was flying high in the sky when she spotted a lamb down below. She flew down and grabbed the lamb and carried him away. A crow saw all this. He got excited and tried to copy the eagle. He saw a group of sheep and flew down to grab a large sheep. But his claws became entangled in the sheep’s fleece and he was not able to release himself. He tried to free himself but he failed. A shepherd caught the crow and sold it to a man. The man heard the crow’s story and asked the shepherd to clip the crow’s wings and took him home. His children saw the crow with clipped feathers and asked about it. The man replied, “To my knowledge he is a crow, but he would like to think that he is an eagle.” Everyone started laughing. The foolish crow realised his mistake.
Moral: Mindlessly copying others may land you in trouble.
