This is the story of that epoch when there was no entity of light, so people were anxious to bring the light in villages because darkness made their life gloomy. So they had decided to throw one basket of darkness daily. This custom continued for long. In that village, a man named Ashish lived; he did not like this job. So he went to the other village and married a girl named Rupvati. When they both returned to that village, the bride was given a work of throwing darkness in a far pit, before entering the house. She was amazed and thought deeply. Soon she tore the edge of her sari, took an earthen pot and kerosene. By striking two stones she lit the earthen pot. Then the whole village was filled with effulgence which made all villagers ecstatic.
