The Egyptian Pyramids are four-sided pyramid-shaped ancient masonry structures. The Pyramids are located in Egypt, Africa. The earliest known Egyptian Pyramid was built between 2630 BC and 2611 BC.
Why they are special: There exist over a 100 pyramids spread across Egypt. Most of these pyramids were built for the Pharaohs and their consorts of the Old and the Middle Kingdom. The only one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World that still exists, the pyramids are considered to be the oldest monumental structures of dressed masonry.
