Burj-Khalifa

The Burj Khalifa is a skyscraper, primarily constructed of reinforced concrete. The Burj Khalifa was built between 2004 and 2010. This skyscraper is situated in Dubai, United Arabic Emirates.

Why it is special: The Burj Khalifa is the world’s tallest structure with a height of 2,722 feet. This mega tall structure holds many records. The structure is built based on the designs and concepts from Islamic architecture while simultaneously incorporating modern technology within its construction; for instance, the 26,000 panels of glass used provide both an anti-glare shield from extreme temperature and harsh winds. There are a total of 154 usable floors, excluding 9 maintenance levels and 46 spire levels.
