The Amalfi Coast is a 50-km stretch of coastline in the Campania region. It runs along the southern edge of the Sorrentine Peninsula of Italy. From the 10th and 11th centuries the Duchy of Amalfi existed on the Amalfi Coast. The coastline developed over the years.

Why it is special: A major tourist attraction, the Amalfi Coast is widely known for its Limón cello liquor and thick handmade paper production. With warm summers and mild winters, beautiful vistas and rustic territories the coastline is a perfect vacation spot.
