A fox and cat were chatting. The fox asked the cat, “How many tricks do you know?” The cat replied, “I know only one trick. When the dogs chase me, I know how to climb up trees and escape. And how many tricks do you know?” The fox replied, “I have a bagful of tricks. Come with me and I will show you.” The two went off together. While they were going, the cat heard the hunters coming with their dogs. She cried, “I hear the dogs.” The fox replied, “Do not be afraid! I will teach you a good trick to get away.” The cat screamed, “I want to do my own trick.” Saying so, she climbed up the tree. The dogs chased the fox and caught him. The cat shouted, “Use your tricks now if you can! None of them will save you.”
