A mother goose lived by a pond. She had several babies. She did not allow any animals to drink water from the pond, thinking that they might harm her babies. One day, a big dog passed the pond along with his master. The dog was very thirty and decided to drink water from the pond. But as soon as he came near the pond to drink the water, the mother goose came near him. She started pecking him with her beak and fluttered her feathers. She also made a lot of noise. The dog got furious. He was about to bite the goose, but he stopped and said to the goose, “Neither are you strong to stop me nor do you have sharp teeth or claws. But, you are a mother. That is why you are ready to fight.” He then drank water from the pond and went away.
