Once, there was an army commander. He kept thinking of ways to save the army from spending extra money. He wanted to please the general. One day, he told his soldiers to use wooden guns for practice. The commander told the governor about this as well. The governor was very surprised. He asked, “How can you even think of using wooden guns? You are a commander yourself and have fought many wars. What is the use of practising with wooden guns when you are not going to use them at the time of the war. I shall not hear of it. No one should save money at the cost of the soldiers.” The commander could not say anything. He agreed to use real guns to train his soldiers. He said, “Thank you, Governor. I promise you that we will use the guns carefully.”
