A shepherd saw a tiger and picked his staff up. The tiger mistook the staff for a gun and got frightened. A fox saw this. The fox ran to the shepherd and said, “What will you give me if I save you from the tiger?” The shepherd said, “Anything you ask for.” The fox told the tiger to run away to save his skin. Then the fox came back to the shepherd and said, “I want a bite out of your leg as my reward.” But just as the fox was about to bite his leg, the shepherd barked like a dog. The fox got scared. The shepherd said, “Last year my dog had two puppies. I was so hungry that I ate them up. Now the puppies have grown up in my stomach. I guess they smell you and so they are barking.” The fox got frightened and ran away.
