Reggie had inherited an old country house from his grandparents. He came to look the house over, and was surprised to see that it was in a bad shape. In many places, the roof tiles were missing, and there were damp patches on the walls. He wondered why his grandparents had left him such a terrible house! Inside, the house was musty and damp. Reggie was walking through the kitchen, when the floorboards under him creaked loudly. Before he knew it, the rotten floor had splintered, pitching him into a dark, hidden basement below! For a moment, Reggie was too shocked to move. Luckily, he had not broken any limbs! He gradually became aware of his surroundings. There were old-fashioned trunks all around. When he opened them, he was shocked to see that they were filled with gold coins! His grandparents had left him a treasure!
