A poor man had seven sons. Since, he was unable to feed them, he left them in the forest. The seven sons tried to go back but lost their way. They saw a castle. A giant lived there with his seven daughters. The giant told them that they could stay for the night. In fact, he wanted to eat them. The giant took them to his daughters’ room. All seven daughters were sleeping together in a large bed. Each wore a crown on her head. The giant placed another bed for the sons in that room. After the giant had left, the sons replaced the daughters’ crowns with their caps. They were happy to wear the golden crowns and slept. When the giant came to kill the sons, he mistook his daughters to be the sons as they were wearing caps. He killed them. Meanwhile, the sons ran from the castle and took all the gold that the giant had. They reached home and became very rich.
